"Busy day yesterday. Props were examined. Climax of
the evening: Samara's Gun arrived from SteamGearLabs. More hand-cannon than revolver it comes with specially designed plasma bullets that must be powered up
prior to loading and shooting. Very cool and another triumph in steampunkian
design by SteamGearLabs."
In other news, I was contacted by a curator for a secret Steampunk show over seas and was asked us to be a part of the exhibit. Specifically my "Eye-Pod" and some Goggles. For this I am soooo excited, thankful, and humbled. Just to think that one of my pieces of art will be traveling the seas to be part of such a special event, and in such a prestigious place! More will be revealed about the specifics, soon.
With that out of the way, it is full steam ahead (pun intended) on the props for the show. The sound is at this moment being mixed by Mark Adams Sound Design in CA. I have heard some snippets of the Edgar Allen Poe Nightmare Inducer and Amelia Earhart Navigational System tracks and they sound pretty sweet! Mark does such an amazing job with projects like this. The voice of Amelia has been brought to life by the very talented P. Vanderway. She gave her voice just the spark I was looking for.Lots to do before the big event, but for the most part things are falling into place. Looks like it will be a good turn out as long as I get everything completed in time! That said, it's back to the lab with me. Oh and before I go, If you have a moment, please stop by the Adventures in Steampunk Blog. I stumbled upon this great site the other day and just had to share it with you.
Ciao for now...
